As for Submachine... it is hinted in Sub_7's note that Submachine has no superiors as the Outer Rim are "left" to the Submachine, implying that they're in control of the spaces they're inhabiting.</p> <p><strong>-- Schizo-extension (Mur destroying the sub as we go through) --</strong><br /> DEBUNKED in parts and CONFIRMED in others. While it is true that Murtaugh IS causing the collapses in Dimensions, there are reasons behind the collapses that he indirectly caused. He's also not a Schizophrenic. He's completely sane as far we can glean from his notes throughout the series, yet extremely ambitious in reaching his goals.</p> <p><strong>-- The Tidiers Theory (Defence System come in to clean up mess) --</strong><br /> I would say DOUBTFUL because we see no indication that the Defense System cleaned up any mess in the Submachine areas, apart from the Edge section where the Defense System actively eliminating items that could potentially let the players bypass the Defense System.</p> <p><strong>-- Paired Gem theory (one intelligent gem for one wisdom gem) --</strong><br /> DOUBTFUL because we still have yet to see any expanded roles that the Wisdom Gems have yet to play in relation to the Submachine apart from the typical energy source they're often being shown as. Also, all we have seen are Wisdom Gems.</p> <p><strong>-- Mur is Dead (all left of him is recordings and notes and directions) --</strong><br /> Either DOUBTFUL or DEBUNKED. There are a lot of hints that Murtaugh is still alive and is actively pursuing someone/something as of Submachine 7. Also, some players theorized that we are in the time long after Murtaugh was in the areas, making the possibility that he's dead a much likelier one.
